ROOSEVELT, Utah, October 22, 2020 — The Rural Independent Network Alliance (RINA Wireless), in partnership with Ericsson, is pleased to announce its CBRS (Citizens Broadband Radio Service) buildout solution. RINA Wireless and Ericsson have been working together for years to provide rural carriers 3G, 4G, 5G and fixed wireless services and solutions that scale properly for service providers serving underserved areas of the United States.
CBRS will greatly assist rural service providers and WISPs who can now convert existing services to the CBRS band which can realistically and affordably offer fixed wireless speeds of 100 Mbps. The “innovation band,” as it is known, also gives smaller rural providers multiple options for delivering hybrid and private networks. RINA Wireless and Ericsson are ready to assist Auction 105 winners to take advantage of CBRS and meet buildout requirements.
“Our partnership with RINA Wireless provides rural carriers the needed technology solutions to efficiently and effectively manage their networks, deploy services faster and meet buildout requirements,” said Rob Johnson, Head of Customer Unit Regional Carriers for Ericsson North America. “Ericsson has played an active role in CBRS ecosystem development, and we’re pleased to offer a leading CBRS portfolio to help rural carriers evolve their wireless networks in order to bring connectivity to rural communities.”
RINA Wireless continues to expand its service offerings to rural wireless service providers. With multiple carriers throughout 21 states, RINA Wireless is committed to serving rural America. RINA Wireless creates partnerships so that rural consumers have access to modern communications services and focuses on how to aggregate technology solutions to ensure rural service providers can maintain and grow valuable connections in rural America, regardless of geography or market size.
“Rural providers continue to partner with RINA Wireless so that we can collectively leverage our strengths to keep up with the pace of technology and customer expectations” said Dennie Mecham, COO, RINA Wireless. “As a rural wireless carrier ourselves, RINA uniquely understands the challenges of serving sparsely populated areas but also how to expand services, upgrade technology and provide better experiences. By focusing on efficient, affordable and scalable solutions, RINA Wireless enables rural providers to evolve and provide competitive services in the most difficult to serve areas of the country.”
